From the back of the hotel, continue past the Rose Garden as far as the impressive Christ Church. The route then takes you into and through the lower Luisenpark. The telecommunications tower, one of the landmarks of Mannheim, is within view, and it will help you get your bearings for the first half of the route. As you follow the banks of the river, you have a good view, far into the distance, of the path out of town along the romantic Neckar riverside. Turning around at the “Bootshaus” tavern immediately next to the telecommunications tower, you then continue back into town, once more following the riverside on the other side of the tracks. 600 m further on, cross the tracks once again and pass through the lower Luisenpark for a second time. Passing Christ Church once again will bring you back to the hotel.
